Iris pumila ‘Lil Inkpot’ (Dwarf Bearded Iris) has a two-toned purple palette reminiscent of antique inkwells. ‘Lil Inkpot’ is exceptional in rock gardens, where its dark petals create a striking contrast against warm colors, forming a charming carpet amidst the rocks and pebbles.

Dwarf Bearded Irises are commonly referred to as "border iris," and rightly so. Small in size but big on impact, these miniature gems are perfect for edging rock gardens or lining paths with their charming blooms. Plant 'Lil Inkpot’ in a sunny location with good drainage where its enticing fragrance can be fully appreciated. Once established, Bearded Irises are drought-tolerant, deer resistant, and rabbit resistant, and will spread and multiply when happy.
