Description

Schizachyrium scoparium 'Standing Ovation' PP25,202 (Little Bluestem Grass) is a new selection of our native Little Bluestem grass. Our 2018 Plant of The Year, 'Standing Ovation' was selected for its strong upright growth habit, blue summer foliage, and outstanding reddish fall color. It stands up well to rain, wind, and snow and the stems won't bend over, giving the grass a tidy appearance, especially in the fall and winter months when it provides off-season beauty. Recommended companion plants include Prairie Coneflower (Ratibida), Purple Coneflower (Echinacea) and native ornamental grasses like Bouteloua 'Blonde Ambition'.
