Very hardy Salvia, stays smaller, adaptable to the East

"This is a great hummingbird-attracting plant that is good for both the flower bed and container. Furman's Red also seems extra hardy. I live in Delaware, on the East Coast, and I've been able to overwinter this plant by giving it full sun, southern exposure, and good drainage. I've also successfully grown and overwintered it in very large pots outdoors - again with good drainage. Another plus for Furman's Red is that it is somewhat more compact than some of the other Southwestern salvias."

I would buy this plant again and again

"I use this plant in my beds to introduce bold red color."

Plants arrived in great shape

"These plants have done very well through their first hot and humid Maryland summer. Make sure the drainage is good."
