Description

New Snow Pearly Everlasting is a tough but beautiful native wildflower with attractive wooly, silver-gray foliage and flat clusters of tiny white, nectar-rich flowers. It is an excellent choice for meadow and prairie plantings as well as xeric perennial beds with lean, low fertility soils and dry conditions. Highly attractive to butterflies; Pearly Everlasting is the host plant for American Lady Butterflies. With long stems and attractive flower clusters, Ananphalis also makes a great dried cut flower. It makes a great companion plant for other late summer bloomers like Salvia azurea (Prairie Sage), various tall Asters ('Raydon's Favorite', 'Blue Bird') as well as ornamental grasses like Schizachyrium (Little Bluestem), Bouteloua 'Blonde Ambition' (Blue Grama grass), and Sporobolus heterolipis (Prairie Dropseed).
