'Appar' Blue Flax loves poor soils and drier conditions in the garden. Drought resistant/drought tolerant perennial plant (xeric).

Description

Linum perenne 'Appar' (Blue Flax) is absolutely one of the favorite Western wildflowers for gardens and meadows. Its profuse true blue flowers match the summer sky. 'Appar; Blue Flax was originally collected in the Black Hills of South Dakota and improved through breeding to have outstanding vigor and a long season of bloom. Native to Europe and Asia, Blue Flax has naturalized throughout the United States as it is a strong re-seeder. Extremely cold hardy, this wildflower is also well suited for the colder areas of the Rockies and Great Plains. Seed propagated. 18" x 18" wide.
