"While the plant arrived in good condition and High Country gardens service was great, the delivered product was nowhere near the color pictured. A true red Gazania is fairly rare. The delivered medium orange variety is not something I would have purchased online."

Gazania krebsiana ‘Scarlet Tanager’ (Scarlet Tanager African Daisy) is a color variant of Gazania ‘Tanager’ discovered by horticulturist David Salman nearly a decade ago, but only recently has High Country Gardens begun propagating it. The large scarlet flowers begin in mid-spring and reappear in fall after the heat of summer has passed. A small-growing perennial species, it is an ideal choice for the edges of gravel pathways.
