"Arrived healthy. Great packaging."
"I planted this in soil that nothing else would grow in and within a year, this little guy got HUGE; like, 24 inches across in a big circle and just still growing. It's soft to the touch, blooms every day from early spring to late fall, and absolutely thrives in my worst dirt. This plant was such a success that I ordered more and am covering huge sections of my yard/border with them as they stay green, require little water, spread nicely, and the bees, butterflies, and birds seem very pleased with them. The fact it came back after a harsh winter was lovely. My only advice is to make sure you plant this in an area where you are okay if it gets huge; my mistake was underestimating how big it would get. The soil I planted in had random volcano rock from the previous people mixed in and it seems to be loving it. Hundreds of blooms every day with little water, attention, or nutrients? Yes, please."
"These are unbelievably prolific. I planted 9 tiny plants last fall and it's a carpet of them now. I need to move some that are growing into the plant next door - but they're my favorite so I don't want to disturb them while they bloom!"
"Bigger container would have been better"
"Have not planted yet"
"Pretty and water wise."
"I thought it would be fun to have plants that were the namesakes of my husband and I. Alan and Veronica. Turns out that our Alan's Apricot ice plant beat out my Veronica oltensis in terms of hardiness and growth. They have both made great ground covers underneath our New Mexico privets each in a large planter. But alas, the ice plant is the better of the two for this purpose. I will be planting more of each next year, but try a different Veronica (liwanensis) next time!"
"The lavender ice plants were wonderful editions to my dry creek river bed banks. Planted them in early spring and they grew to a size of double diameter of 5 gallon bucket in South facing location. They flowered all the way to our late fall in Colorado. Very exciting to see them open in direct sunlight and close up as sun goes down in the west."
"I grow a wide variety of ice plants and groundcover sedums in a rock garden in my front yard. These and all of my other iceplants have proved to be very hardy and reliable. My plants are in full sun and in clay soil and planted among rocks, but they do get irrigation from our lawn sprinklers. They're rather slow to fill in, but over the years have spread very nicely. I receive lots of compliments."
"This was a test purchase to see what will work in our refigured yard. Will buy again."
