How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Wildflower Tulip Bronze Charm (Tulipa batalinii Bronze Charm) packs a lot of color for its diminutive size. The flower emerges in May as a beautiful, almost rose-like, bud in apricot-gold. As its leaves unfurl, we see the yellow to salmon petals tinged with bronze. At 4-6" tall, plant ‘Bronze Charm’ with other wildflower tulips, in a rock garden or along a garden edge where they can delight the eye and naturalize (spread) in future years. Wildflower tulips are the only tulips that are deer resistant.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. "A few of these bulbs were successful and several of them flowered. Hoping next year is better."
"These are very noticeable and do better with each passing year! Even though they are small, as are all wildflower tulips, they draw the eye from across the yard with their bright color and gently, gracefully waving stems. These are planted under this company's Dog Tuff African dogtooth turf grass (which is very full coverage and crowds out most other competition). It's still pushes through and this time of year, the grass is still mostly dormant, so the flowers provide some much-needed color. They start off a pale yellow and deepen to a peach apricot bronze color I have these planted in a truly challenging, hot, dry and poor soil section of the yard where almost nothing will grow. They do not receive amendments or any other special care. At least here in the south western high desert which we call home, these plants are incredibly well adapted and self-sufficient."
"Withstood our intemperate spring, late cycles of freeze, thaw, ice storm, deluge, repeat. . . They bloomed beautifully, such a happy sight."
