How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"One of my plants looks near dead and is so small and discolored Im not sure why they even sent it. The other plant is viable though."
"I love Crocosmia! The hummingbirds just love it too! It blooms pretty late in the summer when a lot of perennials have fizzled out and the brilliant red makes it a target for the later season Hummingbirds. I wouldn't have a garden without it!"
"Apparently crocosmia Lucifer should not be hardy in Zones 3&4. Mine bloomed modestly the first year. What a fabulous red! Expanded 2nd year/showier display. Third year, they've become a 10' border in that garden, and I'm delighted to be transplanting and sharing them!"
"They bloom every year if they get enough water, otherwise they spend all their energy making more corms. As soon as they finish flowering, you need to deadhead, otherwise the flower stalk sets tiny corms, which then drop and make more plants. I've had to divide many times, and now I keep them out of my perennial beds due to their invasive nature. BUT the hummers love them. Now they are growing in full-blast sun, with only water once a month, and they have died back, but there will be corms to divide, again come late fall."
"Sorry to HCG but I want to let customers know how they worked out. Delete HCG if inappropriate. I'm in zone 9 in Deep South. Someone from one of my local plant groups gave me about 15 plants when he thinned last year. I can be a lazy gardener sometimes & these plants had nice foliage & were given to me in a Walmart bag. I laid them down didn't get them planted (still haven't 🙄) I remembered them after a hurricane clean up. A lot of foliage had turned blown & I figured I killed them. When I watered my garden, I'd spray inside the WM bag & leave it alone. In the fall I dropped them all into a large bucket & didn't even put dirt in bucket…thought they were dead but I'd still water. Those things now have green foliage & have somehow even multiplied & bucket is full & it's end of Jan. Many of them even flowered in late summer while laying in the bag. I'd say they are extremely hardy! We've had about a weeks total of below freezing also! The bag was under my patio getting morning only sun. It gets very hot here & humidity is also in the 90's. The swampy south! The plants are the orange ones. I promise they will go into the ground when I plant my spring garden! Just go for it!"
"I grew these flowers in a mound of my yard that was a bit gravelly and damp in morning sun and slight afternoon shade. They took off! I transplanted some corms to a dry border that was shady in the morning and part of the aftetnoon and they didn't do as well. They can get a bit floppy as they grow taller, but I staked them and they looked gorgeous. You can grow them in pots, which I may try out in full sun. They have vibrant color, too!"
"I live at 8,000', 9 inches of precipitation a year. Tough climate. I received 10 bulbs in the Bold Summer Collection. They are the only portion of the collection to survive. They sprouted tall, slim upright leaves similar to Gladiolas. No blooms the first year. The second year there were 20 plants and they flowered late July. Spectacular. Excellent for hummingbirds. I didn't expect them to be so tall and planted front and center in the border of the flower bed, my bad. I will reorder more and put in a larger area for spread."
"I bought these because needed some tall mid to late summer bloomers. I've tried to grow these in the past but have never been able to coax them into blooming. Trying a new sun/shade situation in the hopes that they will do something here. They have all come up and look healthy but no buds as yet. Still time for that to happen. I gave them a three star since I really don't know how they will play out in terms of blooming at this point."
"This is attractive in all stages. Photo is of the flower head before it opens."
"Planted in containers on the deck. Every time they got about six inches tall, the gopher came around and chewed them down. They kept fighting back and finally I got two to bloom. Found a way to keep the gopher off the deck, but still have squirrels. Enjoyed what I got, though"
