"I have never had any luck planting from seed. But when I saw that I could sew these directly into the garden, I thought I would try. I actually had so many seeds that what I didn't start in the garden, I planted in a cinderblock wall until I could find a place for them. I didn't realize that these are biennial and was disappointed when I read that they wouldn't bloom until next year. However, they are getting ready to bloom right now, in their first July! I moved as many as I could from the cinder blocks and into my other gardens, but there are too many. So I have left them to bloom in the cinderblock wall and it looks great because they are bushy and covering the ugly cinderblock. This may become a new thing for me to do. And I will be trying many more seeds from HCG in the future. The photo was taken this morning in the cinderblock wall. As you can see, it is ready to bloom. I could not be more pleased!"
"I have never been able to get black eyed Susan's to flourish from a potted plant and thought I would try seeds. I'm happy to say the seeds took off immediately without and additional work and are hearty/beautiful!"
