Spectacular Blooms the First Season, Hardy Plants
"Front yard installation, replacing a lawn, planted May 2025. Photo is late July 2025. The Rare Intermountain mixture is closest to the camera, the row right behind those is Intermountain Native (not the rare mix, but also blooming nicely in this garden), followed by another row of Rare Intermountain (barely visible). Planted this row first and a little too early, they survived a couple of hail storms. Long-lasting cut flowers, vigorous growth, a large variety of flowers the first year. Also, the foliage is dainty and has many interesting shapes. Daily drip irrigation except for 2 days a week, when I use one stationary tripod sprinkler to water all 5 rows now that the plants are getting so tall. (Very dry and hot conditions lately. ) Pollinators galore. About 1 pound of seed per row sowed carefully by hand with a simple plastic hand sower, without adding any sand, to achieve this dense effect. Spectacular seed mix and I am so glad I planted two rows of it!"
