"I’m so excited for this plant."
"I ordered 8 of these last summer (2024) and seven survived our super dry winter with no addt'l water. They grew quickly the first season, and came back strong this spring. They've grown very well in both height and width, and the flower spikes are SO beautiful. The entire plant is so fragrant! I anticipate these will get much larger, which is fabulous - they are such showstoppers! I've never seen them in another garden in my area, so people are always curious what they are. I recommend them to anyone who will listen ;) I'd like to get just a few more so every part of my front landscape has at least one of these beautiful salvias."
"Very attractive plant for border bed. Lots of flowers! The stems and branches are brittle, easily breaks so handle it with care."
"We moved into a new house that has electrical boxes etc. on the side of our front yard. We wanted some flowering shrubs that would grow fairly large to act as screens in front of the boxes. This shrub has done very well and it's been less than a year! The flowers are absolutely gorgeous!!We are very happy with our purchase! The plant was affordable, arrived packaged very well, and has thrived. Thank you!!"
"I have three Flambes and have nurtured them for a couple seasons as they didnt seem to like where they were first planted. I now have 2 in a full sun location amongst other plants and they are doing very well. This season alone one has gown nearly a foot and has put out very unusual purple pink blooms. What I like best, however, is the foliage; a beautiful light green, very hardy leaf that stays green all winter. A very strong quite compact plant that pulls your eye to it because of the shimmer of the light green foliage. Recommend!!"
"Ive had a hard time getting this to grow, but after losing 1 and moving 2 I think I found the formula. LOTS of sun, hardly any water and then so so pretty. The sage green leaves stay year round and are very hardy and the blooms are a really unique purple hue. Needs patience and love, but pays off"
"I grow the species in a tough environment . I am looking forward to seeing this plant in bloom. Transplanted well (1 planted in fall, 1 in spring), both have put on new growth. Planted in raised terrace with gravel mulch. #sweepstakes"
"Just waited my for them to grow."
"This is such a lovely plan! Hummingbirds love it, bumblebees love it! I have it planted next to a Palmer's pensterman and a white yarrow and it is fabulous!"
"This amazing sun shrub blooms late in the summer and is stunning with rose-purple plumes of color. It has thrived in my garden for 15 years in a spot that receives only extremely little water. It does get woody and will need careful pruning to shape and maintain it. See High Countries salvia video for help on that."
