Lovely salvia plant. It’s growing

"Lovely salvia plant. It’s growing well and one of my favorites."

Amazing plants

"Plants are always so strong and healthy!"

Healthy and young

"Can't wait to see this salvia in bloom this summer. I started planting salvias that I got from you last year and I had hummingbirds for the fall that were beautiful. They loved the salvia as much as I do. I hope to try out many more in the years to come. What gorgeous plants these are! Thank you!!"

Second time is not the charm

"The first plant arrived covered in soil with 6 branches broken off. I requested a replacement, which arrived in worse condition than the first one, and is now dead. The first, beaten-up one is growing slowly and looks like it will eventually be ok. I can't say much else about it as it has only grown 1/2"" in 3 weeks."

"Great perennials!"

Yes I would buy the item again.

"I used them in a Memorial butterfly garden that I maintain in our subdivision."

Beautiful with abundant flowers

"This plant is beautiful and abundant. It started flowering in July and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. The pics were taken in late August (I protect them from critters with an enclosure) Look at how it's grown in one season! Seems to thrive in our hot desert climate. Hope find them available again next season, will order more."

the little salvia that could

"I got a few of these salvias. According to my order history it appears I got and planted them in 2018. This particular one I included the photo of was what I call a ""runt"". Although overall I am extremely pleased with the plants I have gotten from HCG, which have mostly been salvias, once in a while when I get a batch of plants from HCG there is one that is pretty scrawny compared to the others. This plant happened to be such a plant. It made it even harder on the plant that because it was so small I sometimes didn't notice it when I watered the yard. So it struggled to get enough water. At its lowest point it had just ONE healthy leaf on it. I didn't think it had much chance, but I saw to it that it got watered. And it gradually perked up and eventually thrived. And now, just 16 months or so since I first planted it, it is doing fine. So this little scrapper gives me an appreciation for this particular variety of salvia. The flower color, of course, is excellent. It has gone through just one winter here in the Portland, OR area, and it was a fairly mild winter, and I have found that some salvias are not as cold hardy as one would think from the USDA climate zone they are rated at. But the hardy salvias from HCG like this one that I believe is rated zone 6, I have no concern that they will have any problems handling our winters. (I believe where I am is considered zone 8b)."

beautiful color which carries a long distance

"We grow these in an elevated bed around our driveway to expand the blooming season of our iris bed. The radiant color can be appreciated 150 feet away. Butterflies and hummers love them summer to fall. Perfect for our purposes and hardy. Not so dynamic in some pots."

Brilliant red

"The color on this plant was just as shown. It is such a beautiful wine red. Just what I was looking for and seems to be quite hardy."
