• Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Arp’ (Rosemary) is one of the most cold hardy shrub varieties
• Its tall, upright form grows quickly to create an evergreen, aromatic hedge or border
• Fragrant, pale blue flowers attract pollinators in mid-spring
• ‘Arp’ is naturally deer resistant and drought-tolerant once established
Arp Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis Arp) is a bushy growing cultivar with stiff upright stems and soft blue flowers. Arp Rosemary has proven itself to be a cold hardy selection, extending the use of Rosemary beyond the mild winter areas of coastal CA and the Southwest. A great choice for hot walls and corners and other areas that get intense reflected heat. Plant in combination with other heat-loving plants like Zauschneria arizonica, Lavandula, and Calylophus and Yarrow. Released by the National Arboretum. Cutting propagated. 36" tall x 36" wide.

What a mess!
"The plants may have been shipped as a potted plant, but several of them arrived as a mostly bare root plant. The cardboard container that each plant is shipped in securely holds the pot, but the plastic bag that surrounds each one is completely open at the top and the combination does not keep the soil or the plant in the pot. Hopefully they will survive in spite of the mess they arrived in."

Plant was in great shape
"Plant was in great shape when I received it. I potted it up and it's growing strong!"

Didn't survive zone 6 winter
"We live in zone 6. We bought two of these last spring and they grew beautifully into the fall. However, they didn't survive the winter."
— David H. (2/5)
Did not last the winter
"The plants were awesome on arrival last spring. Did well throughout the summer and fall. But did not last over the winter. All 4 are sticks. We did not harvest at all last year in order to give them time. Was hoping for beautiful fresh rosemary this year, but I guess not. Not sure if we should try again or not. We are zone 6b in sw Michigan"

Looking forward to watching it grow
"Really wanted to find a culinary rosemary that does well in our zone. Arrived well packaged and eager to be planted. Taking off like a rocket."
— DebbieB (5/5)
Looks good and growing well
"Planted this at the edge of my garden and it has doubled in size in ~3 months. It doesn't require attention since first planting."
— Wyrmling (5/5)
Yes, I would buy this item again.
"Plant arrived healthy and started growing shortly after arrival."

I love this plant
"This plant likes a little shade and not much water. I have it growing in full hot sun, morning and evening sun, and morning sun only - three places in my yard. Rabbits don't chew it. Wonderful fragrance and wonderful silvery upright stems."
— Anonymous (5/5)
Lovely rosemary
"I live in a climate/zone that has always been marginal for growing rosemary in the ground. 'Arp' and also 'Hill's Hardy' are said to be winter hardy, so I will see next year if they survive the Zone 7/6 damp winter of Cape Cod. If they thrive they should be a handsome addition to the herb path at the edge of my perennial garden. So far they are both thriving in strong sunshine and the hotter end of the garden."
