"Like how quickly it acclimated and started to grow in my garden. Hope it is actually cold hardy!"
"great in my raised beds zone 5b - would grow again any day - just not so many - my friends are all saying no more rosemary!!!"
"We have an area in our landscape that's too extreme for most plants. The plants we purchased from High Country have always been the hardiest plants for tough spaces. I wanted a rosemary that could handle the freezing temperatures we get in this space. The plant is faring very well and we've been into single digits, it's outside uncovered. It will be awesome to have fresh rosemary year round. Great cultivar for the area. HCG has done it again!"
"have planted this rosemary for 3 years, i like it's color, form, fragrance, and flavor. has grown well for me as an herb garden annual, and container plant that is brought in for the winter. however i have not had one survive a zone 6 newengland winter yet, i may try and use a rose cone over one this winter for a lil added protection. but if you don't mind replanting it every year or bringing it in for the winter it is a great cultivar."
"The rosemary was planted with other herbs in a large window box and was lovely for the summer. Wehave had a very cold February. Even though the ""potting shed"" where the herbs winter was heated, the temperature occasionally dropped below freezing. I think all three rosemaries, inluding the Alcalde got too cold. I am trying tobring them back--we'll have to see. It was a very strange winter."
"Cooking, love the smell of it."
"This variety had an excellent root system with mulch and winter protection from winds, did not survive 5 to 10F. Not recommended for Colorado above 4000'"
"In addition to being cold hardy, it is deer resistant."
