How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Our Oriental Poppy Collection will wake up your early summer garden with eye-popping color and touchable texture. Plant sun-loving Oriental Poppies (Papaver orientale) with other perennials or groundcovers so that when they die back in summer after flowering, their fading foliage is hidden. Come fall they will re-appear.
Our Oriental Poppy Collection Includes 9 plants, covering approximately 15 square feet when planted together:

As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"Plants arrived early spring, and I put them in the ground the last week of May. Watering regularly during our prolonged heat wave. This morning was delighted to spot one bloom on first year plants - an unexpected bonus! Looking forward to many years of brilliant blooms on these hardy perennials."
"The foliage resembles a young thistle or other weed, so please remember where you planted, or it might be tempting to rip these up before they flower. Sometimes these take two or even three years to get established. That means no blooms expected for years! Then once they start blooming, they do so every year for 30+ years and are virtually unstoppable. It's difficult to describe just how large and eye-catching these huge oriental poppies are. They just don't even look real almost. I live in high Desert zone seven and didn't do anything much special with mine. No fancy soil amendments or intricate watering routine."
