"The plant is in the ground. Too early to tell how it’s going."

Vigorous grower

"We have this in our cat enclosure and it is already in bloom in Coastal California! It has at least doubled in size over the last month."

Lisa F. (5/5)

Indestructible

"Every once in a while, a spot opens up in the garden. Fill it with this plant. It plays nicely with others, and it looks fantastic. No clay too cruel. No heat too unbearable. Not tasty to rabbits. The bumblbees love it!"

""#sweepstakes"" Bulletproof plant!!

"Clearly you can see from the other reviews and from my own pictures that this plant is a winner in terms of being easy, fast growing and practically bulletproof. The only thing I would say against it is its very common. Now that I'm growing it in my own garden, and therefore can identify it easily, I see it everywhere (S. CO, zone 5); in yards, parks, hospital grounds etc and because some of the HCG Salvias and Agastaches are less common, more fragrant and have more brilliant colors I wont be planting more of these. BUT they have spread very wide (2 1/2 ft) very fast and in so doing have covered up a very large brown, dry and ugly patch of earth in a very short time so Im very happy to have the three that I have!"

The Plant that Keeps Giving

"Walker's Low is probably the most common plant in my yard simply because it isn't needy even at 7000 ft in the desert. It produces masses amounts of flowers that fill in all the space around the plant. It is pretty and neat until our heavy rains hit mid-to late June. Then it flops open flat and doesn't recover its previous shape. (Although flowers will start to bloom from the middle. ) To prevent this, I have hoop supports that I place in the ground while the plant is still small in the spring. I deadhead once the blooms are complete and it is common for me to find volunteers growing the next spring. This is the second reason I have so many in my yard. As a bonus they are easy to transplant."

Perfect for my desert garden

"I am new to desert planting, and developing a heat and draught resistant garden in sandy/clay soil. This plant is doing well with just a little extra care due to this year's extreme heat."

Tumbleweed (5/5)

Happy, full plants

"Have performed well without irrigation and occasional hand watering."

An attractive add to my front yard

"Attractive. Added color in my front yard"

Happy with my catmint from High Country Gardens

"Loved High Country Gardens' suggestions under ""If Your Soil is Like a Rock"" as the low-nutrient clay in our Connecticut country garden is really challenging, especially in the back where it gets blazing afternoon sun all summer long. Received three of these Nepeta 'Walker's Low' last summer and planted them in this area with just a bit of well-rotted manure. They survived the winter, are thriving and are coming into bloom. (As is some yarrow also planted there. )"

Always a success

"These grow and thrive like gang busters!"
