Tough plant during drought!

"I planted 3 gracillimus grass to protect and hide our dog pen! They are fast growers and are beautiful in the fall time!"

Knithead44 (5/5)

Strong fast grower

"My two went through a couple of late spring freezes. They are now 8-10"" wide and 3' tall. Bushy and graceful."

Fantastic grass

"We have a fairly steep bank in our back yard in full sun that's difficult for growing almost anything. But this grass and thrived and looks great throughout the year. The only other ornamental grass that does well there is the pink Muhly Grass. We are very pleased with our purchase of both of these products from High Country Gardens."

Don (5/5)

Yes!!

"Slow growing at first, but, I have three of these & am looking forward to the next couple of years when they start to get big. Easy to grow. I have two in partial shade and one in a sunny spot and the one in the sun is growing a bit faster. But, all three are happy & healthy. I am very pleased with my purchase."

Amazing plumage

"Plant grew well the first year and we were excited to see the plumage/flowers! They are amazing in dried flower arrangements and add GREAT winter interest. Plant coming in strong in second spring in Zone 6."

Jen (5/5)

SUCH A GORGEOUS PLANT! I was sad to lose it.

"Unfortunately, the ground squirrels seemed to kill it at the end of summer. I'm still keeping an eye on it."

Just be careful. . .

"I love this plant, plumes are spectacular and in winter they curl! I actually saw it in Union Square, NY first and called the maintenance people to find out what plant it was. My garden looked fabulous the plants took off in heavy clay soil. . . con: It spread and plants were popping up everywhere. I dug starters out for 3 years. Sadly I took them all out."

Small,but mighty plant

"After six month, the plant continues to grow, but is so small (3""x 3"") I wonder how it will ever resemble the catalog picture."

Copper beauty

"This is another colorful grass that is still showing its copper hued flowers in early December. My poor draining, clay soil is not stopping it from flowering vigorously and even with the drought and very little water the plant is thriving. This is a very healthy plant that started growing immediately when planted and showed flowers within a few weeks."
