Fabulous Ethereal Color

"Totally love this plant. Its light and wavy stems are so delicate and its blue flowers stand out amidst the others flowers in the garden. I had 2 die totally unexpectedly (dont know why as they had been doing well), but the others are thriving. I plant them randomly throughout the garden to add that bolt of electric blue."

maybe buy again

"I bought four of these. 1 was dead when it arrived, and one was barely hanging on. For the price of these and the outrageous shipping costs, you should make more effort to make sure they stay alive during shipping."

Plants came a bit stressed and none survived planting

"I think the plants didn't thrive on the trip to us. By the time they arrived they were showing signs of significant stress. We immediately watered them and nursed them back to life with frequent watering. But they never seemed to really thrive. After careful nursing, we planted them. None survived. We think this is due to many factors. First, they were distressed at the start. Second, our rabbits did additional damage. The plants are labelled rabbit resistant, so our rabbits would eat them from time to time. They weren't completely destroyed by the rabbits, but the rabbits probably provided enough additional stress to kill off all 8 of the young plants that we purchased."

Not my favorite

"This plant has grown very well and put out medium blue flowers just as pictured. However I am not all that fond of it. The issues are: 1) the flowers fall off by noon each day, 2) to my eye the plant itself is not that attractive (another reviewer called it ""scraggly"" and I agree), 3) this particular shade of blue tends to ""disappear"" among the greens in the garden, and 4) the blue clashes with certain other flowers, especially reds and orange (my fault for where I planted it). Some of this is just personal taste. I actually greatly prefer the common Lewis blue flax over this one."

Good strong grower

"This is a very delicate plant. The photos show it more upright and it probably could be with tying or training. I do like the spreading - about 2' in two months- and it has very blue and delicate flowers. Easy to grow"

Beautiful!

"All the High Country Gardens plants are great. I love these, super bright blossoms, growing well in the heat and sun!"

Very nice plant

"Love the picture but hasn't bloomed yet for me to enjoy it more! Very healthy plants"

lovely flowers, scraggly but tough plant

"Tiny plants with rather wispy growths arrived March 2019, and planted out, I forgot to water it most of the time, but even in dry sandy soil here in Albuquerque, it seemed to be unaffected. Tufts of green enlarged throughout the summer and a basal tuft remained through the winter. This spring, plants developed into a fountain of silky blue blooms that open in the morning and fade by the afternoon. Scraggly looking plants may require careful placement in some gardens. So far it's been blooming for 3 weeks with the appearance of more weeks to come."

Love the color

"I have never been successful growing flax before. I planted this near plain old day lilies and ignored it all. The flax grew quickly and flowered all summer."

Long lasting, beautiful delicate color.

"We found that our rabbits did nibble it. Lovely wistful plant. Even without flowers it is attractive and very, very long lasting."
