Cold hardy
"Amazed that all three of mine survived the Leadville CO winter (zone 5a) at 9600 feet. They are planted in a poor soil with some clay which I amended just a bit, amongst rocks and next to a fountain that mostly does not cast water unless there is wind. Granted, it was a mild winter. They catch south sun in winter, and full sun until about 3 p. m. in summer. One of the three bloomed last year following planting, so we'll see how a growing root system helps them along this year."
