How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
8" tall x 12" wide (division propagated). An easy-to-grow ornamental grass with a pleasing tufted shape, outstanding when used to border flower beds and walks. An improved variety of the common Blue Fescue, "Sea Urchin" is much more compact and has a brighter steel blue foliage. Shear off the seed heads after it finishes blooming in late summer. Divide the clumps in spring every few years to renew its vigor and help it keep its best color and shape.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.

"I live in Northeastern Arizona in the High Desert Country Area in the White Mountains area. The soil here is clay soil. So, it was a bit hard to get this ornamental grass to grow at first. However, now that it's entrenched in the soil. . . this grass is growing beautifully. Gets plenty of sun, good nutrients, and water. And, on top of that. . . this plant has the beautiful colors of forest green and blue in it's blades. Just great to watch and look at!"
"Have planted quite a few of these over the years. They pretty much take care of themselves and thrive in both hot spots and shadier areas."
"keeps its shape well. partial decline during winter, but not enough to impact appearance. goes well with other white and yellow yarrows"
