How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Rattlesnake Master (Eryngium yuccifolium) is a perennial wildflower of the Midwestern prairies and is a beautifully unusual plant with white, ball-shaped flowers and long strap-like foliage. The flowers are highly attractive to native bees, honeybees, bumblebees and butterflies. Seed-eating songbirds also relish the seeds as they ripen in late summer /early fall. A low water wildflower once established, this plant mixes well with native ornamental grasses such as Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium), Blue Grama Grass (Bouteloua 'Blonde Ambition'), Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepis) and other prairie species such as Prairie Sage (Salvia azurea), Purple Coneflower (Echinacea) and Goldenrod (Solidago).
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"I absolutely love this plant! and the bees do too! It has awesome foliage and decorative seed pods for fall and winter interest."
"These plants did basically nothing in year one. """"First year sleeping, second year creeping, third year leaping. """" This is the second year and they are tall, thick, and about 9"""" across with 25-30 blooms on each plant. Don't get them too wet. They like it dry."
"I purchased two of these for a native plant bed last year. They both returned and bloomed and have withstood some of our driest June weather on record without any additional water."
