"Timely shipment for my zone and pants were happy and healthy"

Easy to Establish and Attracts Lots of Interesting Insects

"I bought these lovely plants to create a partial deer barrier around a fruit tree, after researching that deer despise thistles. It has been a wonderful addition to the tree bed not only for the deer function, but it has attracted various species of bees, praying mantis, butterflies and other interesting insects that previously hadn't been in the garden. It is just a delightful addition to the yard."

Very nice plant

"Plant arrived healthy and is growing fast. Hasn't bloomed yet, but close."

Aphid infection

"Looked healthy upon arrival. Also got Frost Thistle variety. Planted a substantial distance apart from each other. Within a week both plants developed serious aphid infestations. I've been treating both plants all summer first with neem oil and then with diatomaceous earth. I'm not sure the Frost Globe thistle survived. It looks pretty dead and we still have summer conditions on October 14. I'm going to move the Blue Globe Thistle. Since I planted it late spring this year, this is probably the least damaging time to try to find it a happier place. I contacted Highcountry Gardens as soon as I noticed the pest infestation, but was told that was not their problem. Just FYI."

So hard to grow

"I started with one added another one. One died. Bought another one now another one has died. It's been so hard to get the right amount of water but I am determined to get it right. The blooms last a very long time so that helps my motivation. If anyone has helpful advice please feel free to comment"

A few blue blooms but rabbits or deer devoured most

"I've bought 6 Blue Glow Echinops over the past 3-4 years. The first set of plants bloomed but it was clear they were not enough to make a statement. This plant does not get wide. I added more but now the rabbits have found it. I tried to protect them by spraying and building a chicken-wire fence around the plants but highly doubt I'll get any flowers this summer, because they have been chewed so badly. They looked beautiful with red Valerian. Would recommend unless you have a rabbit problem."

Really pretty - thriving in hot Alabama

"These are really pretty! They're good garden color here in very hot July. Have done really well."

So far, very satisfied

"So far, very satisfied. They are still growing. I'm in zone 5b. I'm awaiting the anticipated beautiful bloom. I love its unique look. I have it as part of a large memorial bed for my mom"

I Absolutely Love These BUT. . .

"If you give these a place where you don't mind if they dominate and can be let go they multiply and spread fairly quickly over just a few years."
