Healthy and hearty!

"I planted these on a sloping area behind our home - rabbits got to a few but there are some strong survivors that promise to provide gorgeous blooms soon!"

Definitely my favorite Echinacea.

"Beautiful intense color. Fades by July/August after several years of use. I save the seedheads to replant the following year in a new flower bed. The yellow finches devour the seed heads in late summer-lots of fun to watch from my sunroom windows."

Wow!

"Ruby Star is tall and vigorous and looks wonderful in the border areas. Very pleased with this exceptional variety!"

Steals the show

"I planted Rubinstern in the fall. My garden seems to be ideal rabbit habitat. I had a rabbit overwinter in my garden. He chewed up most of my spruce and all of my huechera. He chewed up all my black eyed Susans and coneflowers. My three Rubinstern plants were bitten off all the way down to the gravel. And now it's July, and they are tall and full and eye catching. They look great the first year - I can't wait to see them in year three!"

Great Color

"Ordered for Pow Wow for Spring planting … great base of leaves and flower stems are shooting up! I have a flower bed of echinacea separate from my low-water/low-fertility plants. This plant is promoted as low water, but it shows an obvious droop if it doesn't get regular water. As reported in the description, it also really needs compost-enriched enriched loamy soil to thrive."

Color Just As Shown

"I bought Ruby Star Echinacea for the stunning color and it does not disappoint!! It was delivered for Spring planting with a great root system and leafed out nicely. It has reached about 14"" tall this first season of growth. The first blooms had an unusual display, being 'all cone' and no petal! It's finally figuring out how to be a proper flower (complete with petals!) and I'm looking forward to watching it continue to grow."

I would buy again

"I am helping a non-profit organization with their landscaping even tho I am not a pro by any means. I have used HCG for 15 years now and find most plants to be realiable. This plant is doing fine."

Charlotte (5/5)

prolific bloomer

"Hardy to Ohio winters and so pretty. Color vibrant nd showy."

easily established in my garden

"Added this to an established perennial bed that tends to being quite dry, with a clay-based soil. It grew and bloomed beautifully over the summer and I expect to see it again soon now!"
