Teucrium chamaedrys Prostratum is tough, pretty and long-lived. Its glossy green leaves and early summer display of deep pink flowers, Creeping Germander is not fussy about its soil, and grows equally well in sun or shade. Tolerating light to moderate foot traffic, it's a low-care groundcover. Drought resistant/drought tolerant plant (xeric). 6-18" tall x 18" wide.

Of all the plants I

"Of all the plants I ordered this year, these came looking the best. Very good root system and bright green leaves ready to grow! Very healthy and well packed in the box."

Sabrina M. (5/5)

Very small

"My first 2 died and my replacements are small but content. No flowers this year, maybe next."

Jayne (3/5)

I would definitely buy this again!

"I bought this for a ground cover under an elderberry where not much has taken root. I have tried multiple other ground covers with little success. The creeping germander has taken off, looks fantastic, and is doing well even though we are now moving into our hot, humid summer."

KcP (5/5)

Disappointed

"I was disappointed that these seemed awfully crushed into their shipping containers. They are still bent over from shipping and they've been planted for 1 month."

Jayne (3/5)

I will buy more next spring !

"Using it as a ground cover, it is growing nicely, happy in full California sun."

Nancy (5/5)

Grows where nothing else does

"I have a steep slope in Boise, ID that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. There's no irrigation so nothing grows except weeds, Holly, and a couple volunteer currants. And this. It doesn't grow fast, but it's happy and healthy so I keep coming back for more."

Jh (5/5)

Still waiting to see if they come up next year.

"All plants arrived in good shape but small. Dug them in immediately. So far nothing has grown. Maybe they will come up next year??"

Mrs M. (3/5)

This is a very fast growing ground cover.

"I have used as ground cover in front of a shrub border. I like the slightly blue tinge to the leaves. It is growing rapids in my Kansas City garden."

Sue (4/5)

Great Little Plant

"I planted two of these last year, and they have spread into about 6 plants this year. They are vibrant green, and are growing under my crabapple tree. They only get a couple hours of morning sun, and then are in mostly shade. They get hit with the sprinklers when I water the lawn about once week (twice if it is reeeeeally hot and dry out). I just bought three more, I like them so much."

Lucy (5/5)

Really happy with this plant

"I have these growing in pretty dry areas with filtered to deep shade. They always just look perfect. They have grown very slowly. I imagine it would be faster if they got more water."
