Waiting for blooms

"Bought two of these and both survived the winter. Can't wait to see blooms this year. Both have gotten tall and seem very happy. Excited to watch growth and fill in for the next few years."

Product did not survive winter.

"Product arrived well and looked healthy going into winter. Did not come back this spring."

Love these Asters!

"These are in the back border of the flower bed. This is the second year of growing and they have taken off! Covered in buds ready for fall can't wait to see what the flowers look like. They need to lean on another plant because of their weight."

Too soon to tell

"The plant has not made an appearance yet. It doesn't bloom for another couple of months so I can't really review it."

Salgal (3/5)

hands down the prettiest perennial I've planted

"I've just recently got into gardening, and tend to kill plants pretty often. this plant is easy to take care of, and its such a beautiful shade of pink."

Halee (5/5)

beautiful flowing color in the fall

"planted in raised garden bed in front of a tree and it adds lovely fall color to the garden"

I LOVE this plant, and so do the pollinators!

"I have built a permaculture garden for pollinators and grow a variety of native/native cultivar plants. Lady in Black is one of the three top pollinator favorites. This powerhouse is hardy and so prolific with blooms without reseeding everywhere. I planted one small Lady in Black in 2019, have divided it twice to make three healthy plants since then."

Great fall pollinator plant

"This aster keeps the bees going well into the Rocky Mountain fall when many other plants are finished. Lovely graceful stems look great in the garden as well as in a vase."

Am I doing something wrong?

"I have planted a few of these, most recently from HCG. They have all done… okay. Nice foliage color. Lots of small flowers. Doesn't seed everywhere and no powdery mildew that I have had. So compared to other asters I am mostly pleased. But so far these plants have never really filled out the way I see in online pictures. This year I tried pinching back. Still I end up with the spindly, lanky aster shape. Maybe I am expecting too much? Or maybe it just takes several more seasons before the plant will fill in? Either way, my own feelings on this plant are mixed."

Jury still out

"Bought two. One looks pretty good, the other looks to be slowly dying. They are on slope in full sun. Too young to have any budding or flowers. Will have to wait till next season to see if they are still alive and if there will be any flowers. As they are still alive, I guess I would recommend."
