"Cuttings were small and dormant when planted last fall. Started growing later in spring but are now thriving !"
"Arrived intact, healthy and green. After planting, these milkweed plants are doing great and have taken off, gaining height and blooms already here in late June. Will be buying several more for Fall shipping, and will be hoping to have several monarch caterpillars living amongst these eventually! Highly recommended to help the endangered monarch butterfly."
"I wanted a milkweed to help the monarch's now that they're endangered. I did some research and found that this is native to my region, grows to a nice size without being too invasive, and has very pretty flowers. This plant exceeded my expectations. The first one I got didn't make it, but the free replacement has flourished! I wasn't expecting it to reach full size this year but it did. It has had so many flowers and is such a beautiful plant overall. The honey bees love it and the best part is that the only place I have seen any monarchs this year has been at this plant! This plant has hosted at least 3 monarch caterpillars and at least 1 has made it through to the chrysalis stage (currently hanging on my house). I have been so happy with how pretty this plant is and seeing how this is helping the monarch's, I will plant more milkweed next spring."
"I'm sure the monarch butterflies would love this plant, but I've not seen any this year or last year. Other butterflies visit it and it seems to be a favorite of beautiful sand wasps and leafcutter bees."
"Expanding my bed for Monarch butterflies."
"I ordered three plants (order 1903726) that arrived in early May of 2021 and they grew well. Between the three, they hosted over 30 monarch caterpillars! I was so delighted I ordered two more around Labor Day (order 2052204). Two of the original three are up and growing vigorously now (mid May) but the third one, along with the two I planted later, do not seem to have made it through the winter. I'm disappointed about that but happy for the two that are doing so well."
"The only way to determine if a plant is ideally suited for your particular ecosystem is to wait a season or two. Waiting, will give you the best idea of how the plant will perform—. Happy gardening."
"received healthy plants in a timely period of time-planted them right away and they are in bloom now--very happy with the service and product"
"Just waiting for the Monarch butterflies now!"
"Very pleased with this -- which has taken off in the second year. Lots of different pollinators like the blooms, mostly bumblebees here, but I have seen a lot of other things visiting the flowers, too. Including at least one monarch butterfly, the first one I have seen in my life."
