Achillea ptarmica 'Peter Cottontail' (Yarrow) features floating blossoms of pure white flowers over low, mounding foliage from early summer to fall
• Deer and rabbit resistant, waterwise, and long-blooming, Yarrow is a top choice for low-maintenance gardens and challenging dry, sunny conditions
• Flowers like bunny tails attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies, and effortlessly light up the garden
Fragrant too, it makes great cut or dried flowers

"The plants are arrive in really good health - they look fabulous"

Slow growing

"Purchased from HCG in Spring 2024. Photo is plant in August 2025. This yarrow is very slow growing compared to the large yellow yarrows like Coronation. In its second season, no flowers until late summer and it seems to be struggling a little. I think it does not like its soil conditions (heavy, poor drainage). Zone 5a, 7,500 ft elevation, poor draining soil conditions."

""#sweepstakes"" Nice Burst of White!

"I seem to have ALOT of purple in the garden so Mr Cottontail is a great addition, especially as it is growing quite tall (aIthough not so neat and rounded as in the HCG image. Maybe it needs to be pruned in spring to make that shape?). Am happy non-the-less as the first picture was fall 2023 when it hadnt grown all that much (though it had been snacked on by the rabbits). The second two pictures are early July, 2024 and you can see its doing just fine!"

Flowers for daysss!!!

"I love these plants. They are along a border in a sunny spot in my garden that is difficult to get water. When I first got my 2 plants they really didn't look like much. But they have been SO happy and healthy and grew much faster than everything else I planted in my water-wise garden. They were the first to bloom and have not stopped since! Such lovely white flowers, so low maintenance and LONG blooming (it's been a solid 2 months of being covered in blooms with no sign of stopping). I love them so much I'm making room for at least one more :)"

Doing very well!

"I love Yarrow and have it in all my gardens. Moonshine is my 'go to' but I was very intrigued by this variety since I had tried and failed to grow baby's breath in the past. I'm quite ecstatic over the performance of this plant so far. I planted it in late April, and as you can see, by today (July 2nd) it has come up beautifully. I didn't expect it to do much the first year and do expect it to look more full next year. It has already filled in between other plants as I had always hoped Baby's Breath would do. The pure white flowers grow bigger with age. I sincerely love this plant and hope to get more for other areas next year."
