"The California poppy seeds I ordered did not germinate at all. Not a single plant came up. I spread them as instructed (with sand) everywhere in my yard. I had zero success."
"I'm new to the location and trying it in lots of places."
"Planted these alongside a sunbaked driveway where moisture is slight. These golden blooms really brighten up the driveway! #sweepstakes"
"The California Poppies that sprouted are so pretty and I was very happy with them! However now I have some red poppies and blue cornflowers sprouting along with them so I am assuming that my batch of California Poppy seeds contained other seeds in it. I only bought California Poppy seeds and Blue Flax seeds from High Country Gardens. The red poppies are pretty, but thought I'd add that information into the review in case you did not want other flowers in your California Poppy seeds."
"I scattered these seeds to create a low maintenance sloped area. They are coming up everywhere and I expect beautiful blooms in a few weeks!"
"I was impressed they came up and look gorgeous"
"Year after year my poppies have come back looking beautiful as ever. And believe me, I have the brownest of thumbs!"
"I prepped the area and sewed seeds in fall and then again in spring. We had a wet spring and early summer so I am guessing that is why they bloomed yet not as prolificate as I was hoping. Hoping for reseeding from plants for next year"
"Followed directions exactly to sow a large area with seeds at the end of fall. Literally thousands of seeds. This spring about 50 tiny poppy plants have come out of the ground and only around cracks in rock border. No flowers, just greenery. None in the open area which got good rain all winter. Hoping maybe more will emerge. Wild poppies grow literally everywhere where I live. Fingers crossed."
"stems and leaves grew, but no blooms this year,,,,maybe next year??"
