Stellar Lights Bearded Iris (Iris germanica Stellar Lights) are easy to grow and colorful, real garden show-offs with their blooms of blue-purple with white centers. Tall and stately, they are focal points alone and also mix beautifully with other summer blooming perennials. Try them with Agastache, Penstemon, Rudbeckia, and ornamental grasses. Deer and rodent resistant, pollinators love them. In fact, the Bearded Iris flower is designed to scrape off pollen from incoming bees and re-pollinate them with their pollen. As the bees back out of the flower, they don’t lose their pollen, keeping it to pollinate another flower. Great cut flowers too, Bearded Iris are true garden essentials.

"These are great for cut flowers! Give them lots of elbow room - in three years each rhizome you plant will have expanded to 36"""" circumference with 15-20 flower stalks. Mass plantings pack a punch. They get a little mushy after they bloom and it is best to cut down the spent flower stalks. Great return on investment!"
