Lucious blue mats in the spring

"Blooms in early spring, helpful to queen bumblebees. Evergreen on low water the rest of the year. Good as a living mulch, lawn substitute, or rock garden plant."

Works great

"It's very hardy, looks good, keeps on growing not matter what."

Lovely ground cover

"Placed the plants in the front of the house, under a large window. This comment is for the method in which the plants were packaged and shipped -- absolutely perfect! The plants were well protected and packaged with extreme care. Best packaging and shipping for live plants I have ever encountered."

A nice evergreen mat

"It may be too early for final thoughts as I've had this plant less than one year… but here it is anyway. I wouldn't call this a 'Wow' plant, but it's very effective at covering an area with low growing foliage. I planted three in sandy soil last spring, and I wouldn't say they did too much the first year, didn't flower, and probably grew moderately to about one foot wide on each plant. Overwinter they were a nice burgundy color and were completely evergreen, had a few nights in a row of -26°F but didn't have a sliver of winter kill( because there's no winter kill, I didn't have to do any spring trimming on these, so that was very nice). They turned back to a lush green as soon as the days started getting longer and started putting on more growth very quickly. The small flowers started to show up just as the crocus and specie iris were finishing up and were a nice nectar source for the early emerging, bee doppelgänger-bird hover fly. The amount of flowers on each plant hasn't been great, but that may change as the plant continues to mature. It's definitely not the FIRST plant I would recommend to someone, but I definitely WOULD recommend it, especially to anyone looking for a low growing plant (stays right on the ground at about 1"") to fill in gaps between other plants or cracks in between rocks. A nice evergreen mat."

Slowly coming along

"Ive waited a few months to review this one as its been slow to make a mark, but 3 moths in and I can say it is healthy and coming along well. Not all that exciting, but to be fair its exactly as described. It is low to the ground but grows thick, so is working just fine to create a carpet on what has until now been a bare dirt slope. I planted six."

Beautiful blue bloom

"This ground cover keeps on giving year after year. Beautiful blue blooms. Significant spread. Gorgeous ground cover"

This plant didn't live here

"I love this plant and have it in several places in the garden. This particular plant had a small root system and our climate and grounds are harsh, especially this year. It did not survive. HCG took care of me on this. Great company."

Lovely plants

"I bought 3 plants and they are doing okay, not great. I might need to change their location. However, the plants came in healthy so I don't have any problem with the order."

Growing well in my high mesa water-wise garden

"Doing very well and spreading nicely in my 7200', high-mesa garden, frequented by voracious deer. Blooms sparingly all summer long. Never looks like the catalog picture, covered in blooms, but has formed a dense mat of green."

"So far so good! Got 3 and they arrived happy, they have spread quite a bit in their first two months since planting"
