"I love this plant! It blooms well into fall and needs very little water. The hummingbirds love it too"
"All I can say this soon is that they arrived healthy and one plant had two broken branches which I think will ok and not hurt the growth. Since it’s perennial’s ask me again in about 14 or 15 months for an update."
"I'm I've received one of these plants in a Lambs Ear collection. I liked it so much. I had to go back and get more for my Xeriscaped Garden. When they bloom, they are very pretty, a lovely shade of red. They really catch your eye and the Hummers love them. I always get compliments on them. My garden is in zone five and I'm at an elevation of 5500 feet. This is a winner!"
"This is a great plant. About 2 1/2 feet tall by 2 feet wide. Tallish but not floppy. The flowers are a bright red and there are many! I bought this plant in the spring of 2024 and it bloomed the first year. This year it really put on a show and the flowers lasted a long time. I couldn't be happier. I'm in southern Indiana just barely in zone 6 and it came through a winter with several really cold stretches and virtually no snow cover. Buy it, you'll like (love) it!"
"This plant needs some short fencing support but it does well and has great red flowers"
"This plant is indestructible! Planted two in a spot that I wasn't sure would have enough sun, and they grew like crazy, and bloomed pretty well. Then the painters working on our house totally crushed one, killed it. I figured I'd be down to one, but a couple months later, when most plants are winding down in fall, the darn thing grew back. There weren't a huge amount of flowers, but they last a really long time."
"I planted in my herb bed and going to move it in fall because just too big for that area. Love the plant. Just bigger than I thought so I will put it in a perrenial bed. The flowers are lovely red and the plant is just plain pretty. I bought this last year and it did very well through our winter. . . central Pennsylvania. I would definely buy again. The hummers love it. KInd of reminds me of a large agastashe. I only gave it a 4 because it was much larger than expected so needs to be placed in a larger aread. Also, I grew in full sun."
"My thoughts on these Lambs Ear are mixed. They were a bit slow to take where we planted them, and they yellowed a good bit before rebounding. They have, recently, really started growing and blooming though! My only other complaint is that they honestly aren't the most ornamental/attractive plant. It basically looks like mint with tiny red flowers. If this is your aesthetic, go for it! I just should've looked up more plant pics before planting. So far no sign of pollinators, but we'll give it time."
"I have to say that for being such a delicate bush the root system is a warrior. They survived our blizzard and came back lovely and strong. I have mine planted beneath a cedar in semi bright shade. The color is a lovely shade of strawberry."
"This perennial is a great addition to my butterfly/hummingbird garden. Thanks, High Country Gardens!!!"
