"I live in zone 7a and am new to grasses, and this did not disappoint. I put them in my blue area near old junipers and catmint. They look stunning together. They grew so fast, in their first year. I am very pleased with these strong, healthy plant."
"Its still early for a review but you asked!! And I am in zone 3 and just planted these this last year so they are young and yet to survive our winters. But its a warm winter, they are in a raised bed and protected with bags of leaves for their winter sleep so I am very hopeful they will get established."

Grow 'Llano' for its large mature size, vigor, and killer blue foliage. In fall, enjoy its showy, bronze-colored seed heads. Indiangrass foliage is used as larval food by butterflies. Wild turkey and prairie birds eat its seeds and use its foliage for cover. Originally released by New Mexico's Los Lunas USDA-NRCS Plant Materials Center in 1963, it was re-introduced just a few years ago. The original seed collection was made near Clovis, NM.
