"I originally ordered two. One arrived dead and I contacted HCG and received a replacement. It looked great when it arrived and has done excellent, already spreading and blooming. The other original plant was a slower starter, but has put on some nice growth. No blooms on that one yet, but both are looking healthy now."

Prunella grandiflora 'Bella Blue' (Self-Heal) is a vigorous, long blooming groundcover that spreads quickly to fill beds in sun, partial sun or full shade conditions. Blooming from late spring through the summer with short spikes of violet-blue flowers that attract butterflies, self-heal is an Old World plant traditionally used to treat skin injuries and other maladies. Prunella grows best in average to moist soils and is invaluable for stabilizing soil on slopes and bare areas. Best planted among taller perennials as it will overrun small, slower growing neighboring plants.
