Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. "I planted this in the spring of 2025. It must have loved its location as it grew very large immediately. I do use Plant Success Organics Granular Mycorrhizae Root Inoculant & water the plants in with a mixture of seaweed and Superthrive. First two picture early fall 2025 & the next three spring 2026."

"I wanted to try this grass, as I am trying to introduce as many natives as possible into our landscape. I have two in each of two raised beds. They were fairly small (and dry) when they arrived, after a long trip through the US postal service to the east coast, but I got them in the ground immediately, and they have definitely started growing. I even see some of the red coloring. I'm really looking forward to these getting big and bushy over time and am confident that they will."

"Shenandoah Switch Grass is beautiful and easy to grow. I put in a few small plants in the fall, in the spring I was unsure if they would come up . . . a little slow going. But sure enough, they spring when they're ready and then get full and beautiful. Green During the summer, then flowy and beautiful foliage in the winter. I put in 10 more as a border along my driveway."
