Description
Panicum virgatum ‘Heavy Metal' (Blue Switch Grass) is well named. This durable ornamental native grass has attractive, stiffly upright blue-gray foliage and attractive tan flowering sprays in late summer. Grow it in full sun and a little on the dry side to bring out the metallic color of the foliage. This variety is one of the very best Panicum and difficult to find. This ornamental grass is a long-lived perennial that thrives in all types of soil across much of the US.

I would buy this plant again.
