Overview
Wild Perennial Lupine (Lupinus perennis) is a showy native wildflower that blooms in late spring with spikes of blue and bluish-purple flowers. A plant for experienced gardeners, this species must be planted in a sandy soil where it will pull nitrogen from the air and enrich the soil that surrounds it. Once established, it will naturalize, attracting bees, birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
