Description

Leucanthemum superbum 'Snowcap' (Shasta Daisy) is an excellent cultivar with a sturdy, uniform habit. Its bright green foliage is covered in cheerful flowers from early to late summer. They make excellent cut flowers and cutting will encourage more blooms. Plant ‘Snowcap’ in average soil with good drainage, in a sunny location. Once established, they are stalwart waterwise perennials and vigorous bloomers. Plant with other waterwise companions such as 'Royal Candles' Veronica, Monarda, Salvia, Coreopsis, and Lavender. Though it has naturalized in North America, Daisies are native to Europe and Asia. Shasta Daisies were introduced in 1901 by famed plant breeder Luther Burbank, who selected the plant for large flowers, a long bloom time, and a sturdy habit; named for California’s Mt. Shasta, Shasta Daisies have become a popular and easy-to-grow garden staple.
