Erigeron formosissimus RAMBLERâ„¢ (Mountain Fleabane) is a captivating wildflower native to the Rocky Mountain states. Delicate pastel-colored petals and sturdy arching stems add graceful form and a touch of wild beauty to your garden landscape. Whether planted as a focal point or interspersed among other flowers, its charming blooms and wild growth habit blend seamlessly into formal gardens and naturalistic plantings alike.
E. formosissimus thrives at elevations between 6,200-12,000 feet and is most often found growing in high-altitude meadows, forest openings, and streambeds where its deep underground roots help to prevent soil erosion. Plant in full to partial sunlight in well-draining soil with adequate organic matter. While RAMBLERâ„¢ is drought-tolerant once established, regular watering is essential during periods of prolonged drought or extreme heat. Water deeply but infrequently to encourage deep root growth. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming and maintain a neat appearance. Additionally, you can trim back the foliage after flowering to promote new growth and prevent self-seeding if desired.
