Crimean Pasqueflower

Pulsatilla halleri ssp. Taurica (Crimean Pasqueflower) features violet flowers with striking yellow centers that bloom in early spring on the slopes, cliffs and grassy areas of the Crimea. This subspecies’ name comes from the Latin tauricus meaning “of the Crimea.” This charming, clump-forming perennial is covered with fuzzy stems and flowers which give way to ornamental, fluffy plumes. Plant in rock gardens or at the front of perennial borders where they will complement spring-flowering bulbs and groundcovers. Among the earliest plants to emerge in spring, plant to attract and feed early rising pollinators!

Well suited for sunny borders and alpine rockeries, plant Pulsatilla halleri ssp. Taurica in full sun to part shade locations with fertile, well-drained soils. Requires consistent moisture in hot summer climates. This low-maintenance plant resents disturbance, so try not to move once established!
