Description
24-36" x 24-30" wide. The white flowering form of Jupiter's Beard is a great companion plant with its summer-long display of white flower clusters. Centranthus ruber Albus is a tough xeric plant, this European wildflower is easily grown if not pampered. Too much water and rich soil is not appreciated. Deadhead when blooming is done to reduce reseeding and stimulate re-flowering.

"It's hard to find the medicinal (white) valerian as the ornamental red valerian is more popular. It really makes a difference that High Country Gardens starts their plants at higher altitudes and in alkaline soil. The survival rate of HCG plants is so much higher for Colorado gardeners."
