Description

A European native, Campanula garganica ‘Dickson’s Gold’ (Adriatic Bellflower) was first recorded growing at the base of Italy’s Mt. Gargano in 1827. Its distinctive foliage and plentiful flowers make it much desired as a low-growing groundcover. Plant it in well-drained, medium moisture soils in full-sun to part-shade locations. Once established, it is a waterwise plant. With optimum growing conditions it can be an aggressive spreader, though it is easily controlled by division; growing it in leaner conditions can also help control spreading. The showy, unique look of this plant makes it worth a bit of upkeep, and you can make new friends by sharing divisions.
