"I've tried these dahlias several times from several different vendors. They simply don't come back in my garden. They may grow one year then disappear; sometime they never show up. I've put them in gopher baskets, but something gets them anyway. Slugs attack the new foliage before it has a chance to get a start. I love these plants -- had them in a different garden years ago -- but may have to bow to the superior intelligence of our local pests."
