How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"I waited to plant in my container a bit too long after receiving the tubers. They came up anyway. I was thrilled"
"Healthy, strong plant with lots of flowers. The three I got had all double flowers, and lots of them, rather than the singles pictured, which was fine with me, though if you prefer singles, you'll be disappointed. Foliage is dark and attractive, nice contrast."
"The color doesn't match my garden super well, but the plant and it's flowers are gorgeous. The red is definitely on the orangey side as opposed to the pink spectrum, but that is as pictured and described. Foliage is indeed very dark. They do not require staking (as of mid July)."
"Mine is in a pot on our deck. It is very striking with it's dark foliage and bright color flower. Really want to put this in mass in the garden. Very cool color combo."
"My dark angel dahlias are quite unusual. I use them in large pots, although they are mid-sized. They blossom in my garden in September--not mid-summer-- although there are a few blossoms earlier. They prefer full sun for only part of the day as do many other plants that are listed for full sun--but this is Albuquerque. The soil must drain well. Also, I place them in my cold fram from Nov-February and they winter well."
