1. Choose a spot on your property that receives at least 6 hours of sun per day.
2. Prepare your soil by clearing the area of all existing growth.
3. Mix the Wildflower seeds with sand for better visibility.
4. After spreading the seed, we recommend compressing the seed into the soil.
5. After planting, give the area a good water.

Comments about High Country Gardens Muhlenbergia reverchonii:
I planted two of these last May. I am very disappointed with their lack of growth. The plant was only about a square inch upon arrival and after a full summer of being cared for and watered regularly, in a warm summer climate, they barely grew at all. I had to fight wild grasses sprouting up all around them, growing at 10x the rate these did. They did not produce a single seed head last year. This spring, they are clearly dead. Waste of money and the water I used to try and grow it. Would not order this again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Hot/dry hillside. Grew ok but not fast or colorful first year. Should survive the winter and hope it will develop better next year
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Even though I bought my grass a "bit late" I could hardly wait to plant it. It came on very well. It grew to be about 15" tall this first year and it had a few blooms so I know that next year I can expect more. It appears very hardy and I can hardly wait until it is in it's full glory. Glad I ordered it.

Arrived looking healthy last fall, planted group of 3 according to instructions. Plants now awakening and appear strong and healthy. Very pleased with High Country Gardens and quality of their flowers/grasses. (Only 4 stars as I have not seen the full glory of the plants so far, but I doubt they will disappoint.)
Will know this year.

Planted in last late summer in a difficult area by a drive. Will see how it does this year, but it did winter over and has come alive again.

Undaunted muhly grass is very hardy, and fits in many spaces in the xeric garden.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
