Why Plant Armeria?

Armeria is a long -blooming, highly rugged perennial native to Europe and North America, where it thrives in gravelly tundra and along coastal cliffs and beaches. Small round flower clusters are held on short stiff stems over a tidy mat of grassy, evergreen foliage. Also known as Sea Thrift, Armeria is a good fit for coastal and inland gardens with well-drained soil, but is not suitable for rich, moisture-retentive loam or clay. Its compact size makes it perfect for rock gardens, containers, and the front of the border. Plant in large groups to add eye-catching form and texture to your xeriscape.
