Tulipa greigii 'Red Riding Hood' (Rock Garden Tulip) brightens a spring garden with dramatic scarlet blooms. Its 4" wide scarlet flowers reveal a black base and the outside of the petals have deeper red (carmine) color. The leaves are variegated with green and purple, giving the plant interest after the blooms have faded. Sometimes call Rock Garden Tulips, at 10-12" tall, 'Red Riding Hood' is a top pick for rock gardens, borders, containers, and mixed with mid-spring Daffodils. Fall planted, place them in compost enriched soil in full sun.

Bright spot early in the rock garden

"I planted these in a rock circle among grape hyacinths and encircling a plant to engulf them once the leaves were on their way out. This worked beautifully for three-season appeal."

I Couldn't be happier with this addition to my rock garden.

"Every bulb I planted appeared in grand fashion and did not disappoint. The foliage is full and stunning in itself. The blooms were magnificent and long lasting. These tulips were a great purchase."

The best

"Showy, unique, easy, low water. Love them!"

Shakti (5/5)

Stunning!

"I planted 10 of these last fall and they came up in Spring 2020 with a bang. At first I thought They were bizarre and then they emerged as a stunning dayglo red tulip. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. They were also long lasting and the foliage held up well. Buying more for Spring 2021."
