South African Succulent Collection
Description
South Africa is home to some of the world's most varied succulent flora. Of special interest to rock gardeners are these cold-hardy living stone plants that camouflage themselves with fantastic succulent foliage, flowering in late spring/summer with a stunning rainbow of colors. Drought tolerant and cold hardy, they are easy to care for and long blooming. It includes: Ruschia pulvinaris (Creeping Shrubby Ice Plant), Stomatium mustilinum (Night-Blooming Ice Plant), Cotyledon orbiculata (Red Edged Pig's Ear), Delosperma sphalmanthoides (Tufted Ice Plant).
