My desert willows have grown very fast and provide beautiful blooms.  I'm thinking of trying to sprout some of the seeds from their bean pods.  These are a recommended plant by our local Native Plant Society.

I live in Altoona, Florida.  I planted 2 and they both died back for the winter but came back strong...I'm in a zone 8b it gets down to low 20's here overnight I did not protect these at all.  You definitely have to amend the soil here as it's all sand!
