Its bright yellow flowers complement and highlight other garden colors, and lightly speckled foliage adds texture. Easy to grow, they are striking when planted in a group and work well scattered through a flower bed. Great cut flowers too. Description

Novi Sun' Calla Lily (Zantedeschia) adds rich yellow chalice-shaped flowers to the summer garden. Try planting in front of ornamental grasses or as a striking centerpiece amongst Echinacea, Salvia, Allium, and other summer bloomers. Blooming for 6-12 weeks, Callas are surprisingly easy to grow. They do best in full sun or partial sun when protected from the hottest afternoon exposure. Butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers, and they are deer and rabbit resistant. We recommend planting 3 rhizomes within a square foot area for a striking effect of blooms and foliage. Cut flowers last up to two weeks in a vase. Hardy in zones 8-10, Callas may be grown as annuals in colder areas, or dug before the first frost and stored in a cool, dry area to re-plant the following spring.

Not recommended for California, where Calla Lilies are considered invasive.
